小小螢火蟲
屁股裝盞小燈籠
池塘野林同曳火
群聚發光不起煙
Little fireflies are
Equipped with small lanterns on their buttocks.
Over the pond and in the wild forest, there are dots of fire,
Glowing without smoke in crowds.
山林郊野小星星
覓食求愛傳訊號
提著籠燈找愛人
In the mountains and countryside,
I see little stars foraging and signaling courtship and
Looking for lovers with lanterns.
火金姑啊！ 請快來
郊野迷濛太黑暗
東南西北迷方向
你是我的宇宙小星光
借你燈籠來照路
Aunt Huojin [i.e., fireflies, pronounced huigim go in Southern Min or Taiwanese],
come quickly!
Mist in the countryside is too heavy.
I am lost in the four directions.
You are my cosmic starlight.
I would borrow your lanterns to light the way.
